What it does

One row per bill-of-materials line: the product SKU, a component SKU and how many of it go into one unit. One row per work order: a number, the product, the quantity, the location it is made at, a due date and a status. Starting an order checks the components are on hand at that location and says what is short; completing it posts the consumption and the finished stock to the Inventory movements table under the order's number, so what was made and what it used are both on the record. Units produced and orders completed are metrics from the first order.

What it adds

• Adds bills of materials and work orders to the Operations department
• Orders in progress: How many work orders are started and not finished.
• Orders completed, 30 days: How many work orders were completed in the last thirty days.
• Units produced, 30 days: The sum of the quantity on work orders completed in the last thirty days.
• Products with a bill of materials: How many bill-of-materials lines are on file.
• An app summary on the company overview
• Agents can read and update records with the required permissions

You see this list again on the install screen, and nothing happens until you approve it there.
